Rome, 28 March 2024 – Extraordinary maintenance work on via Casilina: inspection by the mayor Gualtieri and the councilor for Public Works Ornella Segnalini. The redevelopment works on the stretch of road are being completed Placido Zurla and Piazza del Pigneto.
“The works took place mainly at night – explains the mayor – so as not to have too negative an impact on traffic. The road surface has been redeveloped up to 10 cm deep, to guarantee a longer lasting seal of the asphalt. Interventions were also carried out on the pavements, which were in poor condition and with drains, with greenery being mowed and the horizontal signs will be redone.. We have set ourselves the ambitious goal of redeveloping all 800 kilometers of primary roads in Rome, where 65% of the city's traffic passes. Today we are at 50% of roads rebuilt“.
