It is said that Toni Kroos will soon agree to extend his contract at Real Madrid until 2025. Initially, Kroos' contract with Madrid will expire at the end of the 2023/24 season.
According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Kroos has reached an agreement with his club to extend his contract at least until the end of the 2024/25 season. Previously, Kroos had stated that he had not yet made a decision regarding his future.
However, the consistent performance he continues to show with Real Madrid has made the club maintain the contract extension offer they have previously made. Previously there was also news stating that Madrid had made an indefinite offer to Kroos to make his decision.
The 34 year old player still feels he can make a consistent contribution at the highest level of world football. The former Bayern Munich player also recently returned to the German national team squad after deciding to retire, and played an important role in his team's success in achieving two wins in two matches during the March 2024 international break.
Kroos also remains an important part of the Madrid squad even though the club continues to try to build a team with a number of young players. The arrival of Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham did not mean Kroos was eliminated from the starting line-up.
