Dragon Ball Sparking Zero seems to be a worthy heir to Budokai Tenkaichi thanks to a detail that has not escaped the notice of the biggest fans of the legendary fighting saga.
One of the most anticipated games is none other than the successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi saga. Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is being developed by Spike Chunsoft for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and fans are dying to know more details.
Since the last glimpse of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, many players and Akira Toriyama fans have been analyzing each and every frame of the trailer in which characters such as Super Trunks, Muten Roshi Max Power or Nappa were presented.
Apart from being amazed by the revealed scenes and gameplay, this detailed analysis has led some to realize that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero could respect one of the creative decisions that Budokai Tenkaichi already introduced.
Wink at Budokai Tenkaichi in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?
And it seems that certain characters will not be able to fly in the new fighting game. If we look at Muten Roshi Max Power during the trailer we see that, after performing an attack, it begins to descend towards the ground little by little.
While it is true that this action could respond to a command from a player, many people think that it is a canonical nod to previous Budokai Tenkaichi where some characters could not fly like Kid Chi-Chi, Roshi himself and others.
These could only float for a few seconds before falling to the ground. At the moment, it is not confirmed, but if true, Spike Chunsoft would be taking the development of the game very seriously by introducing these nods to the legendary games of which it is heir.
Want to see more? There is so much hype for this “Budokai Tenkaichi 4” that even a Dragon Ball fan has created the concept of the definitive video game in the series. It is expected that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero arrives at the end of the year or in 2025 if the game suffers any delay.
