Most of us may often wrongly conclude that SEGA only oversees developers from Japan. Indeed, its work as a Japanese company strengthens this assumption, especially with the support of the fact that games from Japanese developers such as Ryu Ga Gotoku with Like a Dragon and ATLUS with Persona have continued to reap success recently. In fact, SEGA also oversees several western studios such as Creative Assembly and Relic Entertainment. But unfortunately for this last name, they are certainly no longer under the auspices of SEGA.
Relic Entertainment – a developer known for being skilled at making real-time strategy games like Dawn of War and Company of Heroes, has officially separated from SEGA. No definite reason was given, but they thanked SEGA, who they said had provided guidance and support that was important for the success of Relic itself. With this decision, Relic Entertainment will return to its status as an indie studio. They also emphasized their commitment to continue supporting their newest game – Company of Heroes 3 which will get a new update in April 2024.

Relic admitted that he could no longer wait to open a new chapter with this situation. Unfortunately, there is no further information about what their next project will be after they are no longer with SEGA. What will their future work be like? Let's just wait.
