Although its time at the box office has not been entirely good in recent years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still and will continue to be very much alive with projects of all kinds. There have been many actors and actresses who have gone through this franchise, and although many others have not yet appeared and are eager to do so, others completely deny it.
One of them is Kristen Stewart, who rose to fame 16 years ago playing Bella Swan in the Twilight saga, and who is now clear with the Disney-owned studio. Through a talk on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, the actress revealed that she would only participate in Marvel Studios if Greta Gerwig is directing the film.
“It seems like a fucking nightmare, really. But maybe the world will change. If Greta Gerwig asked me to make a Marvel movie, then I would do it. I like big movies because I like people to see them when I'm in them. The system It would have to change… What ends up happening is this strange, algorithmic experience where you can't feel anything personal about it.”
The director behind the biggest success of 2023 would be the main reason why Stewart would land at Marvel Studios, which could actually happen knowing that Gerwig already said a few months ago that she would not mind participating in a superhero film from the House of the ideas.
“It would have to be something that I had a feeling for and that I had a relationship with,” the Barbie director told The Rolling Stones last year. Now all that remains is to know if Marvel and Gerwig will join forces at some point, but to do so we will have to wait patiently for the next projects that Marvel announces in the long term.
