Rome, 28 March 2024 – A further intensification of territorial surveillance and control activities, with a view to preventing risks to public safety and any potential event harmful to personal safety, it was arranged during the provincial committee for public order and safety which took place today at Palazzo Valentini, chaired by the prefect of Rome Lamberto Giannini. At the meeting, aimed at a context analysis of the security of the Capital, also following the recent events in Moscow and the assessments carried out last March 25 at the National Committee for public order and safety chaired by the Minister of the Interior, were attended by the provincial leaders of the police forces.
In this sense, it was therefore decided to strengthen the security measures already in place, also through the increase in forces in the field, as well as the planning of specific operational services, reserving particular attention to places of greatest aggregation as well as to all sensitive objectives.
