Michele Pirro, Ducati MotoGP Official Tester: “I am deeply honored and excited to be at the center of a revolutionary initiative like the 51 Racing Lab – Innovation and Passion. This project represents not only a unique opportunity for young people to enter the world of motorsport, but it is also a testimony to my passion and dedication to this sport, which I love deeply. The possibility of contributing, with my experience gained in 24 years of racing and technical development, to the training of a new generation of professionals and drivers is a source of great pride for me. I am grateful for the support of the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”, of the Italian Motorcycle Federation, of the institutions and partners who made this project possible. Their collaboration not only enhances the 51 Racing Lab but highlights also the importance of working together for the good of sport and society. Through the 51 Racing Lab – Innovation and Passion, we have the opportunity to make a difference and demonstrate that motorsport can be a vehicle for positive change, as well as an inexhaustible source of emotions and passion. The future of motorsport enriched by knowledge, ethics and sustainability, inspired by the generations we are training today. It's an exciting journey, and I'm excited to see how far we can go together.”
Andrea Albani, Managing Director MWC: “The 51 Racing Lab project is perfectly in tune with the vision regarding the growth of the Misano World Circuit, where the program of international sporting events and the valorisation of the entire ecosystem that makes them possible coexist. The training and dissemination of knowledge, which we have been promoting for a year in synergy with the Emilia-Romagna Region with the establishment of the ITS, is a decisive activity for consolidating the Riders Land district, which guarantees passion and innovation. Congratulations to Michele Pirro and all the staff for giving further gas to this impulse”.
Giovanni Copioli, FMI President: “We welcome with great pleasure and satisfaction the creation of 51 Racing Lab, a project that has several objectives in common with the Italian Motorcycle Federation: the training of figures with increasingly higher skills, the growth of young professionals in world of motorsport and the need to interpret future challenges, above all, in this case, from a technological point of view. The FMI, which already takes care of the motorcycle training contents of the ITS Maker course, is proud to be able to give its contribution to this initiative signed by Michele Pirro in a prestigious context such as the Misano World Circuit and with the support of the Emilia Romagna Region. Congratulations to Michele, one of our champions, who is demonstrating that he has a strategic vision of motorcycling even off the track.”
Daniele Vacchi, Director of ITS Maker: “ITS MAKER together with the Misano circuit, the Motorcycle Federation and Garage 51 have launched a training project capable of attracting new talents from all over Italy. We have given substance to the requests of motorsport companies and teams to convey to young people all the elements that distinguish our Motor Valley and start a Higher Technician course at the Misano circuit. In this unique place we have brought to lessons teachers of absolute global prestige with extraordinary skills and experiences. After two years, in July, we will graduate our first 23 students. It is obviously a source of satisfaction to witness the birth of a Junior Team where our students are also valued and can consider themselves a real active part, starting to savor the energy, competition and adrenaline that can be felt in a box”.
