Yoda is one of the oldest members of the Jedi order, where was he during the time of the high republic? Will he be in the series The Acolyte?
Star Wars: The Acolyte takes place in the High Republic era, as one of the oldest living members of the Jedi Order, will Yoda appear in the show? Star Wars: The High Republic It takes place a few centuries before the events of Star Wars. The Acolyte will take place at the end of this era, approximately 100 years before Anakin Skywalker is discovered on Tatooine in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. As such, most of the characters introduced in the High Republic were previously unknown: Yoda is one of the few to have crossed between these eras of Star Wars.
The reference guide Star Wars Timelines confirmed that Yoda was born in 896 BBY (BBY stands for Before the Battle of Yavin, when the destruction of the first Death Star occurred) and that he began Jedi training 100 years later. This means that Yoda was an active and high-ranking member of the Jedi Order throughout the High Republic era. High Republic narrative has even confirmed that Yoda was a Grand Master in 232 BBY. Given the emerging threat of the dark side in The Acolyteit would certainly make sense for him to be present on the show.
Yoda was not confirmed to appear in The Acolyte
Despite Yoda's status during the High Republic era, it has not been confirmed that his character will appear in The Acolyte. This could be because Star Wars simply wants to keep it a secret – those unfamiliar with the High Republic era would no doubt be pleasantly surprised if Yoda suddenly appeared in one of the show's episodes. However, it is important to note that the High Republic was known as the “Golden Age” of the Jedi. The Jedi numbered in the thousands, scattered throughout the galaxy. It's possible that Yoda is simply too far away from the action taking place in The Acolyte to make an appearance.
The first official trailer for The Acolyte implies that other Jedi will take on some of Yoda's most well-known roles within the Jedi Order during the show. For example, Lee Jung-jae's Jedi Master Sol is seen training a group of young people in the trailer, which is usually one of Yoda's many main tasks. In some of the stories of The High RepublicYoda is often said to travel the galaxy, either alone or sometimes with small groups of youths and Padawans, opting to take a break from the Jedi Council and train more inexperienced Jedi in the field. Although Yoda's appearance in The Acolyte would make sense, it would also risk taking attention away from the show's new characters. And, if the Sith, or some other dark side user, are trying to stay hidden in the shadows, they will probably be willing to do anything to avoid the wrath of the Jedi Council and the Order's strongest and wisest members, including Yoda. Yoda may never know what happened in The Acolyte. After all, there are tens of thousands of Jedi during this time. Maybe it's time to meet some new ones when it comes out Star Wars: The Acolyte.
