NetEase Games and Marvel Games reveal Marvel Rivals, a TPS shooter featuring famous superheroes such as Spider-Man and Iron Man.
Today, NetEase Games and Marvel Games reveal Marvel Rivals, a new team-based PVP shooter featuring Marvel's roster of characters from across the entire Marvel Universe. Marvel Rivals is an exciting and fast-paced cooperative gameplay experience, with players battling for victory in destructible environments in 6v6 mode, reshaping the terrain to create tactical advantages. The Marvel Rivals development team is made up of global talent who have already worked on successful franchises such as Call of Duty and Battlefield.
Marvel Rivals features a storyline created by NetEase's team of writers, where the ruthless conflict between the tyrannical dictator Doctor Doom and his future counterpart from the year 2099 has forced countless universes to collide in the Timestream Entanglement, generating new worlds and yet unknown crises. The lineup of superheroes includes Iron Man, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Hulk, Rocket, Groot, Scarlet Witch, Storm, Magik and many more. Characters also have team attacks, combining superpowers and inventing new tactics that can turn the tide of combat.
Among the game's features:
- A free-to-play original set in a new, ever-evolving universe;
- Experience an unrivaled selection of the most popular and iconic Super Heroes and Super Villains that the Marvel universe has to offer;
- Devise countless strategies by combining powers to create unique Team-Up abilities and destroying obstacles along your path through destructible environments;
NetEase, which is handling the project, has put together a number of good titles in recent times, including Harry Potter: Discover the Magic and Naraka: Bladepoint.
Marvel Rivals is one of our most ambitious game development projects. From the game's conception and throughout our collaboration, our Marvel team has poured our heart and soul into this project, and we are thrilled to work with the incredible team at NetEase Games to help deliver the ultimate team-based PVP Super Hero shooter .
