Last year during The Game Awards celebration, relevant announcements were made such as Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, The Witcher 4, among others that caught the audience, although Bandai Namco is the one who really took the night. And against everything predicted, Elden Ring Nightreign was revealed, a title separate from the original that we saw in 2022 and that is focused entirely on multiplayer and that will soon have its beta stage.
Bandai Namco has opened registration for network testing. Starting January 10, interested players can register on the official site. It will be available until January 20 and is accessible to those who are not subscribed to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core. The test will run exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while the full game will also come to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The network test will begin on February 14 and conclude on February 17, but will only be available for five sessions of three hours each. The schedules, already adjusted to central Mexico time, are as follows:
– February 14: 5 am to 8 am / 9 pm to 12 am
– February 15: 1 pm to 4 pm
– February 16: 5 am to 8 am / 9 pm to 12 am
This test is a preliminary check to evaluate the functionality and online performance of the game. Participants will be able to explore a dynamic map, form teams of three players, and take on challenging bosses as they attempt to defeat the Nightlord. Within it there will be movements already known from the original game, but others will be implemented so that no one has an advantage.
Although Bandai Namco has not detailed all the content of the test, it has noted that there could be differences with the final version of the game. Elden Ring Nightreign, announced, promises a unique experience set in a parallel universe to that of the original 2022 title, with a cooperative approach and an independent narrative. For now there is no release date, it is only known that it will arrive in 2025.
