The premise of Solo Leveling seems extremely attractive to me because it takes very seriously the whole issue related to the management of statistics and progression that a good game with certain RPG characteristics must have. Doing missions, finding items and so on to improve, makes the series have its joke.
Now, when Solo Leveling adds the mystery of the system and that the hunters who attack the portals cannot level up or become stronger, it also adds a layer of entertainment that makes this story extremely solid. The thing is, 12 episodes weren’t enough, I wanted to see a lot more.
The second season is here and its second episode is just around the corner. The anime adaptation of Chugong’s work seems to be the series of this winter 2025 season and no one should miss it now that its weekly episodes are already available.
Now, with all this, how is the start? Does it fully fulfill its task of moving us and giving us many memorable moments? Should we already hold on to our chairs on this rollercoaster of emotions where it seems that we will already have duels between hunters?

Sung Jing el roto
If you play games like Diablo, you know that the Necromancer class is very worthy and well worth playing. It’s different, exciting and well, it’s like a huge range of possibilities. Now, what happens at the end of the first season of Solo Leveling is something very particular because they apply it to the series.
Now our hero Sung Jin-woo is not only a great fighter with statistics that are increasing little by little, now he raises dead. The best thing about the beginning of the second season is that you see this ability in action and the best of all is that its execution is perfectly lowered, just as it happens in a Dungeons and Dragons-type experience or the RPG of a video game.

The best thing is that this does not limit itself to a single type of character, the Necromancer also encompasses animals and other creatures. Of course, we are talking about these beings that revive having a new design independent of their original form, but that doesn’t mean they stop looking great.
The way the new Solo Leveling stage is projected is very exciting. You’re already starting to imagine everything that awaits Sung Jin-woo. For example, if you are already going to face an S class hunter – which seems a bit complicated – you should continue facing other dungeons to level up and grow a little more. Come on, the possibilities are very clear.
To meet more hunters
The start of the second season of Solo Leveling also gives us a look at the S-class hunters, especially those who have a score to settle with Sung Jin-woo or want to know his secret.
Just in the first two episodes of the second season of Solo Leveling they show us that hunter who wants Sung’s head because he relates him to the death of his younger brother. The thing is that it is not so easy or so soon that they are going to fight each other so suddenly – because it would not make sense for the plot -.

What is a reality is that it smells like we will have more hunters in the scenario, especially since Sung is already seen as a kind of threat that will not be so easy to stop or that they should take advantage of in their favor. There is even a moment where they prefer to have him in a guild rather than fighting with him.
This is a good start for Solo Leveling and we really have no choice but to enjoy it, since the story seems to develop around the mystery of the system and how Sung is going to try to save his mother who is sick. .
Solo Leveling is good to start the year
From the compilation film that came with the first two episodes of the second season, it was clear that Solo Leveling is a product that already deserved its return. It’s not that the other offers we had in the rest of 2024 weren’t good, but rather 12 chapters weren’t enough.
Now, Sung’s story will continue and it is seen that his shadow army will be a key instrument in each of the battles. It doesn’t make sense for the protagonist to fight alone all the time when he’s a Necromancer. Personally, I’m looking forward to more of this anime, because it has a lot to develop and if it does well, we will wait for the third season and so on.
