Bad fresh news for fans of the Assassin’s Creed series who, for several months now, have been awaiting the launch of the new chapter Shadows, a new story in the series set in Japan which sees the return of the mechanics of the two interchangeable characters. Following the postponement of the game, which saw it moved from November 2024 to February 2025, players hoped that the bad surprises were over: unfortunately this is not the case.
Through the publication of an open letter to fans, the Assassin’s Creed Shadows team, developed and published by Ubisoft, has announced a new postponement, with a new release date that fans hope will be, this time, definitive.
As reported in the short statement, the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set for March 20th. With the hope that this will be definitive, the game development team states that it has made this decision in order to offer players the best possible experience starting from day-one and that, for this reason, it will take more time than initially expected.
The conditions of Ubisoft are worrying, as they have seen huge losses on the economic front which have led to the closure of even quite important studios, such as the one responsible for the popular Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
