Among the announcements that shook the night of the PlayStation Productions keynote at CES 2025 we not only have the announcement of two intriguing adaptations of two of PlayStation’s most beloved series of 2024, but also an interesting novelty that equally involves Sony and the streaming platform of the anime world Crunchyroll.
An unexpected collaboration between the two companies will soon make possible the arrival on the market, exclusively for the anime platform of course, of an animated adaptation of one of the most beloved games of the last PlayStation generation: Ghost of Tsushima.
The collaboration will see Sony Productions and the well-known anime production studio Aniplex, known worldwide for having brought the shonen Demon Slayer to the small screen, achieving incredible success. At the moment there are no promotional images of the anime as its creation is still in an early stage: the project, if the proposed timetable is respected, will not arrive on Crunchyroll before 2027.
We will have to wait at least a couple of years before seeing one of the most beloved games of the last generation on the small screen, so much so that it received a sequel, Ghost of Yotei, which was presented to general acclaim from audiences all over the world. We therefore await with trepidation new information regarding the future of this promising series, including video games, films and anime.
