You probably remember that Take-Two Interactive sold its Private Division publishing label to an unknown buyer last November. Well, now a report by Jason Schreier published in the columns of Bloomberg indicates that the label would have been taken over by some ex Annapurna Interactive.
The former staff of Annapurna Interactive, fresh from the mass resignation which occurred last September, would have founded a new company thanks to the financial support of the investment company Haveli Investments. The latter would be the real buyer of Private Division, and would subsequently turn to Annapurna’s exes, who would now take charge of the management of the publisher’s catalog and its approximately 20 employees. However, some of these people may soon lose their jobs: the leadership of Private Division has in fact advised employees to look for another job in this transition period.
According to what reported by Schreier, the agreement between Haveli and the former Annapurna artists would put the latter in charge of the distribution of the titles published by Private Division, including the upcoming Tales of the Shire, the Kerbal Space Program franchise, and the Game Freak’s next original video game.
