2025 opens with the return of Developer_Direct, the Xbox event that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the most anticipated games of the year. On Thursday 23 January, at 7pm Italian time, fans will be able to discover new details on exclusive and in-development titles for Xbox and PC.
Presented directly by the creators, Developer_Direct will provide insights into four major games, including an exclusive preview of an as-yet-unannounced title. Here’s what we’ll see:
DOOM: The Dark Ages: Legendary development team id Software returns with a prequel to the DOOM series. This new chapter, set in a dark medieval context, tells the origins of the Doom Slayer and his fight against infernal forces. A title that promises brutal action and an epic narrative, with a full reveal during the event. South of Midnight: from the creators of We Happy Few and Contrast, Compulsion Games will take us to the Deep South of the United States. This third-person adventure game follows Hazel, who explores folklore and faces creatures inspired by Southern myths to unlock her family’s secrets. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: Sandfall Interactive studio will present a look behind the scenes of their ambitious RPG. Set in a stunning fantasy world, the game promises an immersive story and stunning graphics, with details on its creation and inspirations. A surprise title: Xbox will also reveal a new unreleased project, showing the work of another studio during the event.
