Bayonetta, now the mascot of Platinum Games, turns 15 this year: launched in Japan in 2009 and in the rest of the world in 2010, the first Bayonetta is a title appreciated and remembered by all for its charismatic characters and its Simple but fun gameplay. That project was then followed by two other chapters of the main series and an interesting spin-off “Cereza and the lost demon” and, apparently, the news would not end yet.
The developers have created an ad-hoc site to celebrate 15 years of the series, announcing a series of small surprises for fans and a thank you letter which… does not deny that new themed announcements will soon be made!
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the series, pre-orders have been launched for a special music box created in collaboration with Wayo Music which reproduces the original theme of the “Mysterious Destiny” series, available in a limited number of copies.
In addition to this, special themed wallpapers are available for the smartphone which will be released gradually over the next few months. 2025 seems to be a year full of news for the Bayonetta franchise: could these celebrations culminate with the launch of a new chapter for the series? This is what Platinum Games seems to suggest, and what many fans hope for.
