CES 2025 takes place between January 7 and 10 of the current year. But Atari couldn’t resist showing off its new portable console, the Gamestation Go, through a trailer and promising more news for this exhibition.
This system may seem ‘familiar’ to some people and there is a reason for that. What happens is that it is based on the Gamestation Portable, which the company revealed during CES 2024.
The idea was for it to come out before the end of last year. However, as you can see, that never happened. So Atari and My Arcade decided to rework the concept, make some adjustments to the previous model and thus create the Gamestation Go.
We recommend: Atari acquires Intellivision; one of its main competitors.
It’s a shame that these companies didn’t take advantage of the video to show some of the video games on this new machine. At least this video shows in detail the controls you have to play.

The Atari Gamestation Go features a D-pad, buttons on its front, and triggers on the top section, like most modern handheld consoles or controllers.
But it also has a paddle, the traditional lever that this manufacturer’s consoles had, as well as a track-ball and even a keypad under the front buttons to the right of the screen. These are all clues about the video games you can run.
The paddle on Atari’s Gamestation Go means it’s compatible with Breakout, an all-time classic, and the track-ball — which is Trak-Ball according to the company’s trademark — works with Centipede and Missile Command.
What about the keypad? Well, apparently it is to enjoy Codebreaker and the catalog of titles that came out on Intellivision. At least that’s something more than one fan suspects.

Among other news related to the company, there is a LEGO set based on one of its legendary consoles and a special collection of its video games.
