This week the 2025 edition of CES is taking place in the city of Las Vegas, a site that has had the most exclusive presentations such as the reveal of the 50th line of Nvidia graphics cards, which is almost on sale officially. However, this company is not the only one that has started working on technological evolution, since AMD also launched advertisements for those who remain loyal to its products.
The company has officially revealed its new line of graphics cards led by the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, designed for the mid-range segment. These GPUs, which use the RDNA 4 architecture and new artificial intelligence accelerators, promise to improve gaming performance thanks to technologies such as FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4).
The Radeon RX 9070 Additionally, support for FSR 4, which uses dedicated accelerators instead of shader cores, could mark a shift in AMD’s technology strategy, bringing it closer to the implementation used with DLSS.
Still without a release date, AMD has announced that both graphics cards will be available sometime in the first quarter of 2025. Prices have not been confirmed either, but everything indicates that they will be between $499 USD and $599 USD, aligning with typical costs mid-range from Nvidia. This positioning could make them especially attractive to players looking for a balance between price and performance.
FSR 4 was also presented, a technology developed in collaboration with Sony for PS5 Pro and which is now adapted to the needs of PC. This graphic enhancement system, powered by machine learning, promises to offer sharper and smoother graphics, which could be a key point to differentiate itself in a competitive market. The combination of advanced hardware and software optimization reinforces the bid to dominate the mid-range segment this year.
