The release date of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the new Spider-Man animated series, is getting closer. In view of that, Disney+ published a new trailer and in the process reconfirmed that it will be available on January 29, 2025.
The idea behind the show is to follow the story of Peter Parker to transform into a superhero in a way never seen before and a style inspired by the principles of his adventures in the comics.
As a touch of nostalgia, the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man video is accompanied by the classic theme from the 1967 series. Peter’s voice is a contribution from actor Hudson Thomas, and the choice seems ideal.

As the preview progresses you can see the first steps of this character fighting crime. Especially at street level, and at least for now almost no classic villain from the series appears. But that changes towards the end.

This is when Norman Osborn, played by Colman Domingo, whose criminal alter ego is the Green Goblin, enters the scene. Only this time he is behaving in a friendlier way, to the point that he helps Peter Parker create a better suit, not one that is laughable.
Despite his youth, Spider-Man is convinced that the powers he has are to help people and protect them in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
Something else that stands out from the new trailer for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is that Peter will have to balance his super heroic exploits with his school life. In that last sense, things are not going very well.
Apart from the actors mentioned above, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox also participate. Jeff Trammell is writing the scripts and Mel Zwyer is the supervising director.
