The end of the year is a period of reflection, and that includes figuring out where companies went wrong. In this way, Metacritic has revealed the list of the 20 worst games that came to the Nintendo Switch in 2024. On this occasion, we find titles that, for some, should not be here.
As is an annual custom, Metacritic has shared multiple lists with the best and worst of the year. In the case of the Switch, the selection is made up of titles that not only disappointed, but also worthwhile deliveries, but its technical unemployment on the hybrid console ruined the experience for more than one person. These are the worst games of 2024 on Nintendo Switch:
Star Wars: Hunters – 57
Elrentaros Wanderings – 57
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – 59
Biomutant – 59
Endless Ocean Luminous– 60
Rose & Camellia Collection – 60
REYNATIS – 61
Felix the Cat – 63
The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered – 66
Hot Lap Racing – 67
SaGa Emerald Beyond – 68
Kingdom Come: Deliverance – 69
SPYxANYA: Operation Memories – 70
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Remaster – 70
Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge – 70
Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer – 71
Tales of Kenzera: ZAU – 71
Demon Slayer: Sweep the Board! – 71
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered – 71
Just Dance 2025 Edition – 71
Without a doubt, a quite controversial list. Titles like Endless Ocean Luminous and Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes received a mixed reception, with some people enjoying these types of experiences, while others did not tolerate these types of proposals. The most interesting thing is that we found no trace of all the shovelware that is usually present on these lists.
Each of the titles here are not necessarily bad, and some people will probably find fun in something like Star Wars: Hunters, but they are still experiences that have disappointed most. On related topics, these are the 10 worst games of the year according to Metacritic. Likewise, the FTC proposes a measure to avoid review bombing.
Author’s Note:
Of the 20 games on the list, only a couple I can consider bad, such as Biomutant, the rest are very average experiences that disappointed more than one due to their performance or that simply do not offer much.
