When the Nintendo Switch came into our hands in 2017, it did so with two different models, each with different colored Joy-Con. Now, everything seems to indicate that the next Big N console will be available in a similar format, but instead of seeing two editions, three will be within our reach.
Although at the moment there is no official information from Nintendo, a new leak from NextHandheld ensures that the Switch 2 will hit the market in three different models. The first will have gray Joy-Con, similar to the 2017 console. The second will include white controls, something that reminds us of the Switch OLED. The third version will be special, since it will be themed after one of the console’s launch titles.
Although NextHandheld does not specifically mention which launch game its own Switch will have, rumors have indicated that it is Mario Kart 9. At the moment it is unknown if the console will only have a pair of Joy-Con of a special color , if we will see a themed dock, or even if the back of the console will have a unique design.
There is no further information on this at this time, and it is likely that Nintendo will not confirm or deny this until it is ready. However, with the reveal of the Switch 2 supposedly planned for January 2025, it’s only a matter of time before this and many more questions finally have a clear answer. On related topics, here you can learn more about the supposed arrival of Mario Kart 9. Likewise, these were the worst games on Switch 2 2024.
Author’s Note:
The idea of seeing a Mario Kart so close is something that sounds interesting, but I don’t think it is something that Nintendo will use during the launch of the Switch 2, but rather as a card for the end of the year season, it is where it will probably have its own bundle or even special edition of Switch, but not day one.
