Now that Sonic 3 is in theaters, several members of its production team were in interviews to promote the film. One of them gave us a curious piece of information, since the writers of the adventures of the hedgehog want to bring another video game to the big screen.
Screenwriters Pat Casey and Josh Miller were responsible for the three Sonic films. When asked about other games they would like to bring to the movies, both answered that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker would be a great option. Both consider it to be quite ‘cinematic’.
‘Maybe it would be weird if they started with Wind Waker when making a Zelda movie instead of the more classic Hyrule. But we both love Wind Waker, it’s very cinematic. So after they make the Zelda movie they’re already working on, I think we’ll put our idea out there. Maybe we can do a Wind Waker spin-off.’

We recommend: Sonic 3 already has many important spoilers floating on social networks
Of course, the comments about the Zelda movie refer to the live-action production that Nintendo and Sony Pictures are already working on, which still does not have a release date. Although there is still a long way to go to see it, I hope they take the Sonic 3 writers at their word. Don’t you think it would be interesting?
What else awaits Sonic in the movies?
Sonic 3 is simply the latest hedgehog movie to hit theaters, but it looks like it won’t be the last. In fact, those who were able to see it met a certain character in the post-credits scene that gives rise to a sequel. Not to mention that a fourth film is already confirmed for 2027.
As if this were not enough, Paramount apparently wants to expand this universe further. Well, apparently they are also working on giving Shadow his own movie, similar to the series they gave Knuckles in 2024. So we will have Sega’s mascot on our screens for a long time.
