Despite the little official information about the Nintendo Switch 2, more and more details about the console come to light with each passing day. Now, a new leak ensures that one of the launch titles for the next generation of the Big N would be Mario Kart 9.
Through Reddit, the user known as NextHandheld secured in his possession information that he claims to be true about the next Nintendo console, so he shared some interesting details, such as the fact that the name of the hardware would be Nintendo Switch 2, it would come one with a curved Dock, and the screen would be LCD. Along with this, he noted that a special version with a game included will also be available.
While NextHandheld did not reveal the name of this game, it did mention that it would be the ninth installment in a series. This is more than enough to deduce that the insider is talking about Mario Kart 9. Considering that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was a re-release of the Wii U title, the idea that a new installment in the beloved series is on the way does not sound far-fetched, especially considering it’s been 10 years since Mario Kart 8.
At the moment there is no information from Nintendo, and it is very likely that the Japanese company does not plan to confirm or deny this information until the official presentation of its console takes place, something that is expected to take place in January. 2025. Mario Kart 9 would be amazing to see. Considering the great work that was done with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and its DLC, the idea of seeing a new installment in the series is something that sounds strange to conceive, since what this installment presented to us sounds very complicated.
