Naughty Dog, during the recent The Game Awards, showed the world the first images of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
While we don’t know much about the title, other than what was revealed during the trailer shown at this year’s The Game Awards, the Naughty Dog team has already started talking about the title in question.
Neil Druckmann, head of creative and president of Naughty Dog, to celebrate the announcement of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, shared an image via Bluesky depicting The Last of Us, Uncharted, Jak & Daxter and the studio’s new IP. Each franchise present in the aforementioned image is accompanied by various phrases, as you can see below:
“It’s a question of love” for The Last of Us. “It’s about friendship” for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. “It’s all about adventure” for the Uncharted games starring Nathan Drake. “It’s a question of heroism” for the Jak & Dexter saga. “It’s a question of faith” for Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet.
Druckmann also revealed that Naughty Dog has been working on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet for four years, that is, since The Last of Us Part II made its debut on PlayStation 4 in 2020.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet stars Jordan A. Mun, a bounty hunter on a mission that takes her to the mysterious planet Sempiria where communications with the outside universe were cut off hundreds of years ago, as revealed in a press release of the developer.
Naughty Dog has also confirmed some voice actors for the title, with Tati Gabrielle and Kumail Nanjiani officially part of the voice cast of the work. We don’t know anything else about the title in question, but we can guess the scope of the project from Druckmann’s words in the aforementioned Bluesky post:
You think you understand… but you have no idea. Naughty Dog’s fifth franchise is our craziest adventure yet. We can’t wait to show you more!
So there’s nothing left to do but wait for new official information regarding this new Naughty Dog project.
