According to DFC Intelligence analysts, the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI (or GTA VI) could be one of the biggest in history. It could even exceed $1 billion in pre-orders alone before it goes on sale.
This analysis firm focused on video games also anticipates that in its first 12 months the profits of this Rockstar Games title will reach $3.2 billion dollars, an impressive figure.
That would be double what Grand Theft Auto V achieved in 2013. To put it in perspective, what GTA VI will generate surpasses Inside Out 2, which grossed $1.7 billion in 2024, and Deadpool & Wolverine, which earned $1.3 billion.
We recommend: GTA 6 would be delayed, apart from being a little more politically correct.
Take-Two Interactive, which is in charge of publishing the game, is confident of the success of this sixth main installment of the Grand Theft Auto series and commented on it to a well-known media outlet.

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, noted ‘I never claim a victory before it happens.’ But later, he added ‘that said, I think Rockstar Games will once again offer something truly phenomenal… Certainly, expectations are high.’
Many fans waiting for GTA VI agree on that. In addition to DFC Intelligence analysts, those from other companies also agree that the game will have a very surprising launch.
Yoshio Osaki, chief executive of IDG Consulting, made it clear when he said ‘we think it’s going to be one of the biggest entertainment launches in history, not just in games but for all media.’
Osaki then highlighted ‘the pent-up demand is greater than anything we’ve seen before.’ So when GTA VI comes out it will really impact the video game industry in a positive way.
