Dominik ‘Domtendo’ Neumayer, a YouTuber who publishes content based on Nintendo games, revealed a true horror story. All due to the harassment of a fake lawyer from this company who seeks to ruin their YouTube channel.
It all started at the end of September 2024 when he discovered that the videos he had published for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom were deleted due to copyright allegations.
The fact is that he received two notices. With a third party, his 17-year-old YouTube channel with more than 1.5 million subscribers would end up closed. At first he thought that Nintendo, which sometimes acts peculiarly, was responsible.

But something wasn’t right about the requests to remove its content. The person responsible for requesting it based on the Digital Age Copyright Act or DMCA was a person known as Tatsumi Masaaki.

Masaaki claimed to be part of Nintendo of America’s legal department. But his email account was very suspicious and gave the impression of being invented. Although it is not the first time that a company lawyer has given such an impression, Domtendo continued investigating.
He first complained to YouTube, which soon put his videos online again. Then the individual mentioned above sent him emails complaining about his replacement.
Domtendo decided to ignore it and continue investigating. Although Tatsumi Masaaki’s name is similar to that of someone who works at Nintendo, he is not actually part of it. Nintendo of America revealed that its email account is apocryphal.
But this person continues to harass this YouTuber and others. For many, this is a sign that YouTube should require truthful credentials from those who make copyright claims and investigate whether they are real.
