Although the new DCU has already been underway since the premiere of Creature Commandos, for many, the true beginning of this cinematic universe will be Superman. James Gunn’s film has more than one person excited, and here we share with you all the information we have to date about this film.
Although James Gunn has shared a lot of information about Superman, previously known as Superman: Legacy, details of the film’s plot remain under wraps. At the moment, the only thing we know for sure is that we won’t see an origin story. In this way, the focus is on the way in which Clark Kent achieves a balance between his life as a hero and an average citizen.
Gunn has also confirmed that Lex Luthor will also have a major presence as the film’s main villain. Along with this, Superman will show us a growing world, with multiple DC characters, such as Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner and The Engineer.
Despite the strikes of actors and writers, Superman did not suffer many problems during this complicated period, and filming of the film began at the end of February 2024, and currently the main recordings have finished, although the possibility of seeing some kind of last minute re-recordings. Currently, Superman will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
