Black Myth: Wukong does not have a version for Nintendo Switch nor is there an announcement about whether it will reach its successor. So a company seeks to take advantage of that announced a video game with a very similar name.
That is Wukong Sun: Black Legend, a development by Global Game Studio that will go on sale in the console’s eShop on December 26, 2024. That will be priced at $7.99 dollars or $162.84 Mexican pesos.
Unlike Black Myth: Wukong, which is a completely 3D adventure, with the best possible graphics and a high budget behind it, Wukong Sun: Black Legend is much simpler.

It is a two-dimensional action and platform game with less elaborate art than the Game Science game. But both proposals take inspiration from the same story, Journey to the West, a classic of Chinese literature that has influenced many generations.

Journey to the West has not only had direct adaptations in various media but is also the direct source of inspiration for Dragon Ball. But in the case of Wukong Sun: Black Legend its intention to confuse players is clear.
Only the 3D and realistic art used, which is nothing like the game’s graphics, is similar to that of Black Myth: Wukong. This is not the first time nor will it be the last in which a company takes advantage of the success of a game to deceive Switch owners.

That was the case of The Last Hope: Dead Zone Survival, a video game that ended up removed from the eShop due to its resemblance to The Last of Us. Nintendo acted in time to remove it and avoid a lawsuit from Sony and PlayStation.
In the case of Wukong Sun: Black Legend, only its name and promotional art are reminiscent of Black Myth: Wukong, since it actually has a different appearance. It is a mystery if Game Science plans to act in any way.
