Alessandro Zaccone and the Aruba Cloud MotoE team will join forces in the 2025 season of the FIM MotoE World Championship. Today, the team led by Stefano Cecconi announced that it had signed the 25-year-old from Rimini for what will be the team’s second season in the electric series.
After two years with the Tech3 team, which saw him finish 5th in the championship in 2023, Zaccone is therefore ready to change his team to return to the hunt for that title that he was already close to conquering in 2021. When a accident in the last round at Misano prevented the Romagna rider from becoming World Champion with the Pramac Racing MotoE team.
“I am very happy to join the Aruba family. The season that just ended was a very good season for me. For this reason I am confident that with the help of my new team I will be able to take a further step forward in terms of performance – said Zaccone – We cannot hide: the goal is to fight for the title. I want to thank the entire Aruba Cloud team for the opportunity they gave me. I am sure that we will be able to achieve important satisfactions and for this reason I can’t wait to get started.”
Great enthusiasm also shines through in the words of Team Principal Stefano Cecconi, happy to welcome an expert rider like Zaccone to the team, who boasts a total of 44 races in MotoE, with 2 victories, 8 podiums and 6 pole positions achieved.
“We are pleased to welcome Alessandro to our team, certain that he has the talent and experience necessary to make us take an important step forward – underlined Cecconi – We are a young team that appeared for the first time last season in a specialized and extremely competitive category. Now is the time to capitalize on the work done so far and systematize it to obtain the results we hope for.”
