The second stage of the SBK in Estoril offered a sort of replay of what we saw yesterday, with Toprak Razgatlioglu’s dominance appearing simply unstoppable. In the Superpole Race, Bulega managed to snatch the win from the Turk by 3 thousandths in a magnificent sprint, but in the long race Toprak’s pace was impossible to replicate.
Bulega finished on the podium ahead of Bautista, with Nicolò now 46 points behind Razgatlioglu and now seeing the possibility of becoming champion almost only in mathematics. At the foot of the podium was a finally fit Jonathan Rea with the R1, ahead of Van Der Mark, Vierge and Petrucci, who with today’s points became world champion among the independents and is 4th in the general classification. Closing out the top ten today is Iannone 8th ahead of Rinaldi and Bassani.
