Paul de Leeuw (62) will no longer make programs for BNNVARA. The presenter said this on Wednesday morning in ‘De Coen & Sander Show’. Paul and the broadcaster have ‘definitely broken’.
“We have mutually decided not to work together anymore”
“We have separated. By mutual agreement we have decided not to work together anymore,” Paul explains. He emphasizes that the decision was taken ‘in good consultation’.
When asked why Paul will no longer work at BNNVARA, he says: “Things have happened that turned out differently than we had hoped. We had discussions about that and then I thought: yes, then maybe I should stop and doing the things I like.”
Then Paul emphasizes again that the break is ‘final’. There is no argument, he also says. “We have spoken things out to each other and things turned out differently than we both expected.”
It emerged on Tuesday that Paul does not make his annual Sinterklaas show for BNNVARA, but for Omroep MAX. A while ago it was announced that Paul is making a new season of Ranking the Stars for RTL 4. Paul has worked with BNNVARA for a long time. In 1990, while still at VARA, he made his first TV show: The Scream of De Leeuw.
