The new Ram 1500 arrives in Europe, the American pick-up that offers greater power, superior performance and better fuel efficiency as standard, thanks to the new range of 3.0-litre Hurricane engines with 420 and 540 HP. A Pentastar V6 unit with mild-hybrid technology is also available. Furthermore, it can count on a payload of 1 tonne and a maximum towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes. And in 2025 the 100% electric version of the Ram 1500 will also be available in Europe.
New Ram 1500, features, engines
The new Ram 1500 features the innovative 3.0-liter Hurricane and Hurricane High Output engines, which provide a significant increase in power, high performance and improved fuel efficiency compared to other engines in the same class. The Hurricane engine delivers 420 hp and 636 Nm of torque, while the Hurricane High Output version provides 540 hp and 706 Nm.
Both engines are built with a deep-skirt cast aluminum block and use cutting-edge technologies, such as low-inertia turbochargers, designed to power three cylinders each, improving throttle response. Additionally, Plasma Transfer Wire Arc coating in the cylinder bores provides an ultra-thin, low-friction wear surface, while high-pressure (5,075 psi/350 bar) direct fuel injection further contributes to efficiency.

The Ram 1500 lineup also includes a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 mild hybrid and eTorque engine, capable of producing 305 horsepower and 364 lb-ft of torque. All engines are combined with a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, which optimizes the fluidity of gear changes, improving fuel economy and vehicle handling.
Towing capacity
The new Ram 1500 can count on a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes, placing it at the top of the European market. Among the new features, Trailer Hitch Assist stands out, which helps you steer to align with the trailer, and Trailer Reverse Guidance with Dynamic Gridlines, which displays the trajectory of the trailer on the touchscreen during reversing manoeuvres.
Towing capacity is 3.5 tons
The vehicle’s payload is 1 tonne, with a loading surface of 2.2 m², one of the largest in its category. Access to the bed is made easy by a 60/40-opening multi-function tailgate and a power-release tailgate option.
