German border controls on the A1 led to a series of arrests in two weeks

Earlier this week, a 24-year-old man was arrested at border control and will spend another three months in jail. Another, 22-year-old man, still had a week’s prison sentence remaining when he was caught at a police checkpoint last weekend. And so, more arrests have been made since the start of border controls last month, the German police report.
