Ajax leaves for Prague without Wout Weghorst and Jordan Henderson, where it will face Slavia Prague in the group stage of the Europa League on Thursday. Bertrand Traoré and Kian Fitz-Jim are also missing from coach Francesco Farioli’s selection, the Amsterdam Eredivisionist reports on the website. Weghorst was missing from the foursome in the away match against RKC Waalwijk (0-2) on Sunday due to minor hamstring complaints.
Jan Faberski and Don-Angelo Konadu are in the selection for a European competition for the first time. Davy Klaassen will also travel to Prague, even though he is not eligible to play in the Europa League. Klaassen will train in the Czech Republic on Friday in the run-up to Sunday’s Eredivisie match against FC Groningen.
The match between Slavia Prague and Ajax starts on Thursday at 6.45 pm.
