There is no doubt that HBO has one of the most promising projects for its platform next year: The Last of Us. The second season of the series presented its first preview a few days ago, and although the trailer is full of details, there is one that many have overlooked, but that is quite relevant for what is to come.
The detail in question appears around the minute 1:10but unlike what many think, it is not something visible, but audible. Throughout the trailer a constant beep is heard that lasts several seconds, generating a feeling of discomfort in the viewer. This sound is important, since it can also be heard in The Last of Us Part 2, specifically during one of the scenes that marks a before and after in the video game.

We are referring, of course, to Joel’s death at the hands of Abby. Just as Abby delivers the final blow, Ellie, who witnesses the scene, begins to cry and scream, but her sounds are barely audible due to the loud beeping sound that echoes in her head as she watches her most loved one die in front of her.
It is clear that HBO seeks to live up to expectations, and the new episodes of the series promise a show faithful to one of the most important works of the past generation. The second season of The Last of Us will arrive at Max sometime in 2025.
