Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (PT-AP) is the newest member of the Academia Amapaense de Letras (AAL). His entry into the institution was approved in a vote held on Wednesday (25), with 25 votes in favor.
The result will be officially announced on October 1st, via the institution’s website.
The leader of the Lula government in the National Congress will occupy seat number ten in the AAL, whose patron is Francisco Torquato de Araújo. Founded in 1953, the institution is one of the oldest in the state, created by presidential decree published in 1943.
Randolfe is credited as author, co-author or organizer of 11 published books, such as “A Política Contra o Vírus” (Companhia das Letras), which he signs together with senator Humberto Costa (PT-PE), “Não Pare de Sonhar” (Senado Federal) “Amazônia Amapá – Writings of History” (Paka-Tatu).
Currently, the Academia Amapaense de Letras has 40 seats, according to its website.
