The municipality demanded a statement from a certified company that the diesel tank had been dug out and removed in the correct manner. However, such a statement from a company cannot be given, because Vroomshoop Meubelen had already disabled and dug out the tank before that time. The tank is still on the site, but according to the lawyer, that is not punishable. “The tank was removed from the ground. Admittedly not in the correct manner. But a certified company cannot do anything about this afterwards,” says the lawyer. According to him, the municipality’s demand was therefore unworkable.
