There’s no doubt that Elden Ring is an incredible piece of work, and its DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, has managed to live up to the hype. FromSoftware has once again proven that it’s unique when it comes to creating challenging worlds and experiences, but that doesn’t mean that every single step is perfect. There are things that could be improved, there are bugs, and there are bad decisions.
The end of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree It turned out to be one of those bad decisions. Not only because the design of Radahn, Miquella’s Consort was abusive and unfair due to hitbox errors, but also because of the ending of the DLC itself. It didn’t convince or simply caused indifference. So it goes without saying that the modding community has set to work to offer another version.
The Garden of Eyes team has been developing a mod for three months that completely redesigns the ending of Shadow of the Erdtree. Discard Radahn and change the experience from the encounter with Leda the Spireknight and the rest of Miquella’s followers. The story remains faithful to the original: Miquella uses the body of Mohg, Lord of Blood for her consort… but this time she opts for someone that some players felt deserved it more.
Added to Malenia, The Bloodbound Consort already Malenia, Consort of Miquella during the second phase. This is a completely new version of the Valkyrie, both aesthetically and in terms of her movements. Miquella’s presence remains, causing Malenia to change her set of movements and abilities in the middle of combat. New cinematics and custom music are also included. It’s an epic and wonderful spectacle.
