MotoGP returns to the Misano track for the last of the two rounds on the Romagna track this season. It will also be the last European race before the Asian trip and, in front of its home crowd, Ducati will want to end this part of the championship in style on the old continent. Pecco Bagnaia, however, hopes that the script will not be the same as Misano 1, where he remained without victories in both races held.
The reigning world champion arrived at the first appointment in Romagna still not 100% physically after the blow in Aragon, but now, two weeks later, he returns to Misano with his form back. The weather will also be different compared to the San Marino Grand Prix, where temperatures were higher and only on Sunday the rain changed the cards on the table.
The cool and dry track should play in favor of Bagnaia, who is confident he can do well, also thanks to the tests carried out in Misano just two weeks ago. Could the weather and data collected be the right ingredients to return to the top step of the podium in his home race? “We are returning to race in Misano for the second time this year, but compared to two weeks ago the conditions will be quite different,” explains Bagnaia.
“There will be lower temperatures and we are also arriving after a day of testing. Compared to Misano 1, my physical condition is better; therefore, we will start with an advantage compared to last time. The Emilia-Romagna GP will also be the first appointment of a triple: from here on the season will take on a faster pace and the finale is approaching so it will be even more important to do well in this phase of the Championship”, says the three-time world champion on the eve of the race weekend.

The tests also proved particularly useful for Enea Bastianini, who seems to have found the solution to the problem of the rear medium that conditioned him at Misano 1. The goal for this second race on the home track is, therefore, to give his fans and himself a great result: “Racing on your home circuit is always something special and this year we are lucky enough to return for the second time”.
“Compared to the GP two weeks ago, this weekend we will find lower temperatures and therefore the track conditions will also be a bit different. In the post-race test we managed to find a solution that allowed me to be fast even with the medium rear tyre, which is what we lacked at Misano 1 to be able to try to fight for the victory. Let’s see how this weekend goes, but overall I’m positive”, concludes Bastianini.
