“For every mayor, ensuring a safe society is one of the priorities. Residents, entrepreneurs, visitors to our city and villages must always feel safe,” the mayor said in a written statement. “Due to the court hearing against a number of suspects, the safety around me is now a topic of discussion. Of course this is a concern. At the same time, this shows that our system is functioning as it should. I therefore express my appreciation for the police, the judiciary and the security services.”
