Actor David Harbour has had a busy few years, as at the end of Stranger Things, he is joined by his time at Marvel and DC Comics.
David Harbour will return to Marvel as Alexei Shostakovbetter known as Red Guardian, in the film Thunderbolts*. He will also lend his voice to Eric Frankenstein in the animated series DC Comics titled Creature Commandos. So we cannot rule out the possibility that he will also play the character in live action.
Now, in a recent interview with CB, actor David Harbour talked about the possibility of being Eric Frankenstein in live-action: «I don’t know if I’m waiting for the phone call. I mean, I’m not like the phone, but no, there’s nothing specific yet or at least I haven’t heard anything specific… I think Frank Grillo has already moved to Peacemaker. He’ll probably show up.»
“All those characters, Dr. Phosphorus and the bride… I can’t imagine they wouldn’t want to do it live, but we’ll have to see. That’s in the mind of the flamboyant and brilliant James Gunn.”
“I think they could do what they did with Taika Waititi in Thor: Ragnarok. I feel like there’s probably a universe of that out there today.”
The actor will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
After making his debut in Black Widow, we will be able to see David Harbour in Thunderbolts* and he wanted to explain why the title has an asterisk.
“I mean, they retroactively put the asterisk there. The asterisk was an idea that someone had. What can I say that won’t get me in trouble? The asterisk is great. I understand why people might put an asterisk there (laughs).” I get the feeling that he has no idea.
“I’m really proud of this movie, of what we shot. I hear it’s being well-received internally and I’m excited for people to see it. I think it’s really going to surprise people. I think people have already seen some of it in the trailer, in the scenes. I think it’s a pretty cool direction the MCU is going right now. And I’m excited to be a part of that.”
The series Creature Commandos will premiere on December 5, 2024 on HBO Max. While the film Thunderbolts* will hit theaters on May 2, 2025Remember that you can watch all the Marvel Cinematic Universe installments on Disney Plus, the streaming platform that can be accessed with this link.
