Dacia has a brand new Duster, and it offers quite a lot for your money. So much value, that you even end up with a reasonable price if you tick all conceivable options. We tested that a while ago when we configured a Duster Hybrid as an Extreme and it turned out to cost only a little more with roof rack and tow bar than a basic VW T-Roc. So suppose you really have fallen into a pot of gold but still want a Duster, what can you spend a little extra on? On a bit of tuning, or at least soon.
Mud-Thick Dusters Coming Soon
German Dacia dealer Carpoint has shared a few first images of what is supposed to be its new ‘Duster Carpoint Edition’, and it looks, in a word, really thick. For example, the Duster has been lowered considerably in the images, while the wheels look like they were plucked from under your boss’s supercar. The wheel arches have also been considerably widened and at the back, two exhausts protrude from the lowered bumper work. The grille has also been tackled and there is even a whopper of an air scoop on the bonnet… In short: with this Duster, you will definitely be in the spotlight.
We say “go” deliberately because you probably don’t have to look twice at the images to see that they are not real. These are digital renders, but don’t worry, because Carpoint promises to really build this crazy Duster. We believe that too, because the dealer has already made a ‘Carpoint Edition’ of every generation of the popular Dacia. However, the Germans are not yet saying when you can expect these adjustments in stores and on your new Duster.
