The new live-action Ben 10 movie has been in development for over 10 years, and now it’s been revealed that fans waited for a project that will never see the light of day
After the release of two live-action films Ben 10which were very poorly received by fans, news had come out that another live-action film of the popular animated series was in the works (that was several years ago). Many were wondering what happened to the project, since no kind of update was shared, and finally that question has an answer.
The new Ben 10 movie has been cancelled
The Direct media asked one of the producers related to the project, Steve Richardsif he could share any information about the film, and that was when Richards confirmed that the production was dead due to licensing issues.
“I have to admit, I should update my IMDb. No. So when I was working with Joel Silver, we had the rights to (Ben 10), and yes, they expired… But it should be done, right?”
Variety had confirmed in 2011 that Joel Silver was going to develop a live-action movie of the animated show, and Warner Bros. was said to be distributing it. Those involved in the production should have been clear about it for a while, because some fans probably still thought the live-action was being made.
