Doctor Strange 2’s original plot has been revealed by a former Marvel Studios employee
Beau DeMayoknown for having been the showrunner of X-Men ’97, shares the supposed original plot of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The original plan for Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange 2
DeMayo told X that early drafts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie did Wanda justice, and revealed some interesting details about the Strange film.
“The original drafts did it justice. Wanda was with Strange recovering after Westview, feeling bad about what he did. She helps him, Wong, and Chavez (whom she tutors) defeat Nightmare in the Multiverse, where she also sees his happy variants with their children.”
“Still, Wanda resists, and she, not Chavez, helps Strange save the day against Nightmare, who turns out to be a variant of Strange corrupted by the Darkhold. She also used her experiences with WandaVision to warn Chavez about abusing his power.”
“Alone after saving the day, unable to resist finding a multiverse where she can be with her children, a sobbing Wanda separates herself from Strange and accidentally decapitates Wong, who tries to stop her from fleeing into the multiverse. That was the end of the movie.”
If DeMayo is telling the truth, the original plot sounds pretty good, and Wanda’s journey from heroine to villain would have been more satisfying for those who didn’t like the treatment of the character in Doctor Strange 2. However, there is one detail, if Wanda ended up as a villain, Marvel He would be in a complicated situation because he would have to decide when and where to continue his arc after the creative restructuring that the studio is undergoing (and after the writers and actors strike).
