We were separated by our age, our talent on the bike and our ability to communicate. Luca Salvadori was younger, faster and a great communicator.
But getting in touch with Luca was always a pleasure, a joy.
Whether by phone or in person, he always found time to have a chat or a video together. A sunny, kind and very polite boy. Not exactly a common commodity among those who reach Luca’s popularity. And the exchanges with him were not trivial, because he was a boy who was very attentive to everything around him.
Reading this tragic news from the seat of my motorbike in Namibia was a huge punch in the stomach. But the motorbike was your, our, greatest passion. We know that the game can end like this, but accepting it is another thing.
A big hug to your family, Luca, and to all those who loved you.
