One of the big releases of this year has been Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. This new release was really expected, but the surprise came when the game exceeded all user expectations and is one of the most fun and incredible games released this year. In fact, the title is selling really well and is positioned as the best of the company, especially if we talk about speed in achieving such astronomical figures. Get ready to massacre enemies.
This time, it was Saber Interactive’s creative chief, Tim Willits, who confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is a real milestone for the company. Below you’ll find the tweet he shared, but to summarise, he believes it’s the fastest-selling game he’s ever worked on. That includes the Quake saga, DOOM, Wolfenstein and RAGE, of course, really good sagas that have been far surpassed by this new installment that has managed to captivate millions of players.

As you can see, the words are really clear and direct. Although DOOM is one of the great franchises in the world of video games, which can even be played within other installments, it seems that it has never sold as fast as this new Space Marine II is doing, which even placed itself as the best-selling game on Steam.
DOOM: The Dark Ages is the next big installment of the saga
This new title was originally expected to be exclusive to Microsoft consoles, but DOOM: The Dark Ages is also coming to PS5 to continue Xbox’s multi-platform strategy. It’s clear that opening up your games to other companies is always going to bring you more benefits, especially if it’s a classic and beloved series like DOOM. People are eagerly awaiting this installment, so it may just outsell Space Marine II.
DOOM: The Dark Ages was officially unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase. Unfortunately, there’s still no official release date, however, it is known that it will arrive sometime in 2025. You still have to wait a bit, but chances are that the wait will be well worth it, as DOOM is set to bring you an amount of action and blood like never before.
