With Halloween approaching, horror games are proliferating. Now, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit, the new installment of the saga published for PC last August, announces its launch for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, being available from September 27.
“We’re excited to bring Into the Pit to a wider audience with the console release of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit,” said Becca Peters, Marketing Director at developer Mega Cat Studios. “We’re so grateful for the support of the amazing fans who have been anticipating these releases and we’re so excited to get it into the hands of players later this month.”
Into the Pit is a new way to survive five nights of terror through a chilling new adventure game from Five Nights at Freddy’s. Players can travel between time periods, collect clues, and escape the menace that relentlessly pursues them. To do so, they must move quickly and stay hidden.
Oswald wished his town, and his life, weren’t so boring. Everything changes when he explores the ball pit at a run-down pizza parlor and finds himself in the past. However, Oswald’s deepest wish will come at an unexpected cost…
The future of FNaF
While Five Nights at Freddy’: Into the Pit has a secret that hints at the future of the series, after celebrating its tenth anniversary with this proposal, we are already looking ahead to what is to come. The cinematic sequel that swept the world is not expected until 2025, while the next big game in the series, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, will be exclusive to PS5 and with mixed compatibility for virtual reality.
“To see the future, sometimes you need to understand the past. A new original nightmare in the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe!” was the message with which Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, abbreviated as FNaF: SotM, was officially presented.
