Since receiving a gamma radiation blast that led him to assume the role of the Hulk, Bruce Banner gained a number of qualities that would help him get closer to what we understand as immortality. While maintaining the form of the Hulk, Bruce Banner is able to survive practically anything. In fact, the last comics in charge of Al Ewing revealed that Hulk had a somewhat strange relationship with death.

In one way or another, the Hulk has made Bruce Banner stronger than one could ever imagine, but it seems there is a very clear disadvantage when it comes to his gamma mutation, as the Hulk reveals the terrifying way his powers will destroy his body as he ages.
In Aliens vs Avengers #1, the Xenomorphs have completely taken over the planet, forcing all of humanity to hide behind the walls of the world’s last remaining fortified city.
After some time, some members of the Avengers were brutally murdered while the last survivors are considering leaving Earth forever. However, the leader of humanity stands firm, refusing to give up hope without a fight first, and that person is Bruce Banner.
Hulk admits to going blind in the most unexpected way
In this regard, Bruce Banner entrusts Valeria Richards with an important mission to find a way to defeat the Xenomorphs. While he patiently awaits her advances, Bruce Banner admits to Captain Marvel that he has gamma-ray-enhanced cataracts about half a millimeter thick. In fact, he himself admits that he is practically blind.
For this reason, Hulk’s gamma powers seem to have given Bruce Banner a greatly accelerated aging. While it’s true that no other kind of ailment was mentioned, anyone would have to assume that everything associated with Bruce Banner’s aging has been greatly intensified, which is quite a daunting thing for one of Marvel’s greatest minds.
Hulk’s powers have been the only thing keeping Bruce Banner alive from the worst dangers, even after the most serious injury. However, now the opposite is happening, as Hulk’s gamma powers are not keeping Bruce Banner in good shape, but are slowly killing him. This change of Hulk is very surprising, as it confirms that Bruce Banner is doomed to slowly degrade until the end of his days comes.
