A great day after a difficult one.
Yesterday things didn’t go well, but fortunately today everything went well. I have to thank the doctors at the Clinica Mobile. Yesterday’s fall was bad. My neck and shoulder hurt and tomorrow in Italy I will undergo further checks, but thanks to the work of the doctors at the Clinica Mobile today I felt better and was able to run.
A difficult weekend ended in the best possible way.
It was a very difficult weekend for me. It started well and I knew I could be fast, but then, also due to the difficult weather and track conditions, I wasn’t able to express my potential and that of my bike. I don’t have the experience needed to deal with such different conditions in a short period of time. Yesterday was the most difficult day because of the fall. They were complicated moments. In the evening I felt some pain, I stayed in bed and I was worried also because I didn’t know if I would be able to race today. Then, thanks to the precious help of the doctors who treated me yesterday afternoon and this morning, I felt better and my only goal became to make up for the fall and get the best possible result in today’s two races. In this morning’s warm up I only did one lap, because I wanted to see how I was on the bike and understand if I could race. The result was quite positive even if I still felt a little pain. Then once in the race things improved even further.
You seemed very happy especially with the victory in the long race.
It had been a long time since I won a race, since the first round in Australia. I had collected a dozen second places and it was time to get back on the top step of the podium. Of course, Toprak’s absence helped me, but it wasn’t easy to recover points from him, even if he is still far away in the standings.

Yes, but I have to say that the tests we did in Cremona didn’t go well and I didn’t like how I drove on that track. I hope that during the race weekend my team will be able to find a better set-up to put me in a position to do well.

Yesterday it was really difficult to decide which tires to use. I had never ridden with intermediates and I wanted to try them, but after just one lap I realized… that I don’t like them (laughs).
