No one can deny that Star Wars: Outlaws is far from perfect. While it has won the hearts of most fans of the franchise, just as many have not looked kindly on certain decisions made by the franchise. Massive Entertainmentsuch as stealth playing such an important role in the story.
Star Wars: Outlaws director Julian Gerighty spoke to GamesRadar about the game’s criticisms and admitted that there are things that need to be improved to make the experience much better for everyone. The next update, which will arrive in a few days, will make significant changes to one of the areas most criticized by players.
The first missions of Outlaws have been a significant challenge because stealth is mandatory. Getting caught means failing and starting over. The same happens in many other missions, but the punishment is much more severe during the early stages.
You’re probably thinking of one of the early missions in Mirogana, which are incredibly hard. And to me, that’s a mistake, and it’s something we’re going to work on. I don’t think it means removing the punishment for failure (stealth) entirely, but I do think we can make it a lot more enjoyable and understandable.
Even Gerighty himself feels that he feels very unfair at the moment. The studio didn’t intend for it to end up like this, which is why it will be the focus of the next update. Massive Entertainment admitting its mistakes is a good sign. Now we just have to wait for all the changes before the first story DLC arrives.
